Software House is a five-page website for a development studio whose whole pitch is honesty about estimates: one published day rate, and a price quoted as a range that admits what nobody can know yet. Two working mechanisms carry it: a scope estimator that returns a ±30% band rather than a single number, and a case-study filter over five projects — two of which went wrong.
Pages included

Home — hero beside a monospace panel showing what one of the studio's actual quotes looks like, three kinds of build, a five-stage project timeline where discovery is paid and walk-away-able, four rules that each cost the studio money, three case cards, and a deliberately boring technology stack with the reason for it.
Services — a three-way switcher for web, mobile and integration, each with a sidebar of typical size, duration and team, and a "do not buy this if" box that sends a third of mobile enquirers to a website instead; three engagement models with the risk premium stated; a yes/no scope list; and four named people.
Pricing — the estimator: project type, screen count, platforms and six optional scope items produce engineer-days, elapsed weeks and a rupiah range, all derived from one day-rate constant. The output is a band, and a teal panel explains that discovery narrows it to ±10%. Then a two-column "what pushes it up / pulls it down", the whole six-line rate card, and six money questions.
Work — five case studies filtered by industry, each with effort in engineer-days, elapsed time and whether it landed inside the estimate. Two did not: one ran six weeks over and was absorbed, and one is a rescue the studio says it should have declined. Then the record since 2017 — 47 of 61 inside range — published instead of a testimonial.
Contact — a form that asks who internally makes decisions, a note that the studio is booked six weeks out, a four-step sequence, studio details, and five questions including what happens if the client runs out of money.

Design and style. Violet and teal on a cool off-white, Space Grotesk over Inter with a monospace accent for anything numeric, generous cards, a translucent sticky header. The shared script carries the menu, the estimator, the industry filter, tab switchers, accordions and a date guard — all vanilla and null-guarded, since it runs on every page.
Before you publish. The day rate is a single constant at the top of the estimator in script.js, and it also appears in the footer, the rate-card table and three service sidebars — change all of them. The ±30% spread and the ±10% after discovery are stated in four places and are the template's central claim; if your studio quotes differently, rewrite them rather than leaving a promise you do not make. The delivery record (61 projects, 47 inside range, 9 absorbed) is exactly the kind of number that makes this page work and exactly the kind you must not invent — publish yours or cut the section. Forms use named inputs with no action attribute, so PageHub attaches the handler on publish and enquiries arrive in Form Submissions with the scope selection and the estimated range attached.
Best suited to software studios and development agencies, IT consultancies and system integrators, UX and product design studios, technical contractors, and any professional service that sells estimated work and loses money on optimistic quotes.
