Hero Product is a landing page for one considered purchase — a made object sold on materials, method and aftercare rather than on discount. Its structural decision is to publish the drawbacks: a comparison table with rows the competitors win, a care section that tells you what you are taking on, and a three-star review left in place.
Sections, in order

Sticky navbar with anchors and a price-bearing buy button.
Hero — the product in one sentence including its flaw, a main photograph with four thumbnails, and a buy card: price, handle swatches with surcharges, an extras selector, and a total that updates. One render writes the card price, the description, the total and the sticky bar, so those four can never disagree.
Figures strip — hardness, weight, free sharpening, the number of people who make it.
Specification — an eight-row table beside a workshop photograph, with the note that hardness is tested per batch and the certificate ships in the box.
How one is made — four numbered stages with the reason for each, including the batch that gets reworked rather than sold.
Compared — a table against a cheap alternative and an expensive one, with the rows they win left in, closing with a line telling the wrong buyer to buy the cheap one.
Care — three habits the owner must adopt and one thing they can safely ignore.
Reviews — three, including a three-star complaint that the page did not warn loudly enough.
FAQ — six questions: whether it really rusts, whether free sharpening is really free, returns after use, why one size, chipping, lead time.
Closing CTA and a sticky bottom bar mirroring the live total.

Design and style. Dark and editorial: near-black with copper and sage, Libre Baskerville over Inter, thin rules, square corners, large product photography and no gradients. Option pricing, sticky bar, FAQ accordion, scroll reveal and mobile menu are vanilla JavaScript with no libraries.
Before you publish. Prices live in one constant and in data-add attributes; the visible figures are written by the script, so editing the text alone is overwritten the first time someone taps a swatch. Change the base price, each surcharge, and the extras option values together. Keep at least one row in the comparison where an alternative wins and keep the least flattering review — remove both and the page becomes an ordinary product page whose claims a reader has no reason to believe. The buy button here is a link, not a checkout: point it at your cart, your form, or a WhatsApp order, and if you use a form, PageHub attaches the submit handler on publish.
Best suited to makers and small manufacturers, kitchen and tool brands, furniture, leather goods, audio and instruments, and any single product where the buyer is choosing between three options and wants to be talked out of the wrong one.
