Air-con servicing, repair and installation with a published price list, a two-hour arrival window rather than "sometime Tuesday", and a technician whose name and photo you get by message the night before.
If the job turns out to be bigger than the price list covers, the technician stops and calls you with a number before doing anything. Nobody has ever been handed a surprise invoice at the door, and that is the rule the business is built on.
These are the prices you pay, not "from" prices. Parts are extra and are quoted before they are fitted — the table below lists the common ones so you can check them yourself.
| Common parts and extras | Price, fitted |
|---|---|
| Gas top-up, R32, per unit | $34 |
| Capacitor replacement | $28 |
| Drain pump replacement | $55 |
| Remote control, universal | $18 |
| New installation, 1–1.5 hp, up to 4 m pipe | $120 |
| Extra pipe, per metre | $9 |
| Second unit at the same address | −$6 each |
Pick a date and a two-hour window. Confirmation by message within thirty minutes during opening hours, including the price for the job you selected.
The night before, you get their name, photo and van number. Nobody unexpected knocks on your door, which matters more than most service pages seem to think.
Floor covered, unit checked against a printed sheet, and photos taken. If something extra is needed, the technician stops and rings you with the number before continuing.
Card or transfer once the work is done and you have seen the sheet. The 90-day guarantee starts that day and covers the workmanship regardless of who supplied the part.
If you are outside these, say so in the booking form — we will either quote a travel fee honestly or tell you who covers your area, because a van stuck in traffic for an hour helps nobody.
Nobody here is a subcontractor paid per job, because that is the arrangement that produces upsells at your door. All seven are on salary with the same guarantee behind their work.
Every guarantee is only as good as what it pays out. These three have been used 47 times in the last year.
If the same fault returns within ninety days we come back free, including the call-out and the labour. Twenty-nine visits last year were return visits under this.
If the technician arrives outside the two-hour window without ringing you first, fifteen dollars comes off the bill automatically. It happened eleven times last year and we paid every one.
Insured to $50,000 per visit, and a wall, floor or unit damaged by us is repaired or replaced without an argument about who caused it. Seven claims last year, all settled inside a fortnight.
"The technician found the fault in ten minutes, told me the part was $28, and asked before touching it. The previous company had quoted me a whole new unit."
"Getting the technician's photo the night before sounds small. I live alone and it is the reason I booked with them instead of the cheaper listing."
"They were forty minutes late and took the fifteen dollars off without me having to ask. Four stars for the lateness, but the honesty is why I have rebooked."
A standard service every three to four months in a home, and a deep clean once a year. A unit in a bedroom with the window open to a busy road needs it more often; one in an air-conditioned office needs it less. The technician will tell you which you are, and it is fine if the answer means fewer visits.
Someone over 18 needs to let the technician in and sign the sheet at the end. Many customers leave a key with a neighbour and approve the job by message instead — say so when booking and we will note it against the visit.
You get the price and the wait time on the spot, and the call-out fee is held against the return visit rather than charged twice. Most parts arrive within three working days; anything longer and we say so before you agree.
Saturday is the same price. Sunday and public holidays add $12 per visit and that is shown in the booking confirmation before you accept it, never added at the door.
Yes, any split-type brand. If your unit is still under manufacturer warranty, tell us the brand when booking — for a few brands an outside service voids it, and we would rather lose the job than cost you a warranty.
Reply to the confirmation message any time up to two hours before the window, no charge. Inside two hours, or if nobody is home when the van arrives, there is a $15 fee — the slot is gone by then and somebody else wanted it.
Most people message before booking, which is welcome — describe the noise or send a photo of the unit and you will get an honest answer about whether it needs a visit at all.
