Twelve chairs, one price list, and a builder on the services page that tells you the total and how long you will be sitting there — which is the number that decides whether we can fit you in this week.
Every salon we had worked in charged women more for the same forty-five minutes, and nobody could explain it beyond "that is how it is done". So when we opened in 2016 we priced by length, by service and by who is cutting, and we have never gone back.
It cost us money at first. Short-haired women were paying a third less than they had been, and long-haired men rather more. Six years later the room is the most mixed of any salon on this street, which was not the plan but has turned out to be the point.
Same list, same time, same free fix within fourteen days at every level — including the training night.
Wednesday evenings. Our assistants, supervised by a director from first section to last. Takes about half as long again.
Two to five years qualified. The prices printed above, unchanged. Most of our appointments.
Six years or more. Who we would put on a difficult colour correction or a cut that has to grow out well.
Either of the two owners. Booked about three weeks ahead, and worth waiting for only sometimes — we will tell you when.
Not a lookbook. Salon lighting, no retouching, and the client's own hair on the day they left.
“I have short hair and had spent eleven years paying the women's price for a thirty-minute cut. Here it is on the list at the same number as everybody else's thirty minutes.”

“The colour came out warmer than I wanted. I went back on the Saturday and they toned it, free, with the same stylist and no conversation about whether I had approved it.”
Kirana · client since 2024
“I asked which product I should be buying and was told none of them, and that the one I already had was fine. They have had my money every six weeks since.”
Bayu · client since 2019
The builder on the services page adds up the price and — more usefully — the time. If it comes to more than two hours it will tell you to ring instead, because a long booking dropped into a short slot is how the rest of the day runs late.
