Check-up and hygiene
A twenty-minute examination, two X-rays if it has been a year, and a scale and polish with the hygienist. You leave knowing what needs doing and what does not.
$38 · with hygienist $64Meridian is a five-chair practice with four dentists. Every treatment plan is written down with a total on it and handed to you to take home — nobody is asked to decide about a crown while lying in the chair.
Prices below are what you pay. The full list, including the expensive things, is on the treatments page — hiding it until you are in the chair is the practice we started this one to avoid.

From $1,850 all inUnder-12s are seen free when a parent is a registered patient. The first visit is a look and a ride in the chair, with no instruments, because a frightened six-year-old becomes a frightened adult.
Free with a registered parentPain, a lost filling or a knocked-out tooth: ring before 11:00 and you are seen the same day. Out of hours the answering message gives the on-call dentist's number, not a voicemail box.
$52 for the emergency visitWritten out because most people who have avoided a dentist for years are avoiding the uncertainty rather than the drill.
Before the chair goes back. What hurts, what you are worried about, and how long it has been. Nobody comments on how long it has been.
Twenty minutes, with the screen turned towards you so you can see what the dentist is describing rather than take it on trust.
Printed, itemised, split into what is urgent, what can wait and what only needs watching. You take it home; nothing is booked on the spot.
Ring when you have read it. If the plan is more than you can do at once, we sequence it over a year and tell you which part genuinely cannot wait.
About one patient in five tells us they are nervous, and many more do not. None of these need to be asked for — say so when you book and they happen automatically.
"I had not been to a dentist in nine years. Nobody made a comment about it, and the plan they gave me was sequenced over eighteen months so I could afford it."
"They told me a tooth needed watching rather than filling. Two other practices had quoted me for the filling. It is still fine two years later."
"Four stars because the waiting time on Saturdays is real — an hour once. The treatment itself and the honesty about cost are why we still bring all three children."
Emergency slots are kept free every weekday morning and are not released for routine bookings. If they are gone, the receptionist will tell you honestly rather than putting you on a list.
