Most skincare fails because there is too much of it and two things are fighting. So the tool on this site takes three answers and hands back a routine with one active at most — and when it leaves something out, it names it and says why.
They are on the front page rather than buried in an About section, because they are the reason to buy from us and the reason not to.
Every product page carries the full ingredient list in INCI order and the registration number, not just the four ingredients we would like you to notice.
Morning or evening, your skin, your main concern. It reads the same eleven product cards you can see on the routine page, so nothing is recommended that we do not sell and nothing we sell is hidden from it.
Build yoursPublished because the gap between what people expect and what happens is where most skincare gets abandoned — usually two weeks before it would have started working.
| What you want | What helps | First visible change | Worth judging at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Skin that feels comfortable | Moisturiser, and stopping whatever stripped it | 2–5 days | 2 weeks |
| Less oil by the afternoon | Niacinamide, a lighter moisturiser | 3–4 weeks | 8 weeks |
| Fewer clogged pores | AHA twice a week, non-comedogenic sunscreen | 4–6 weeks | 3 months |
| Dark marks fading | Vitamin C or niacinamide, and sunscreen every day | 8–12 weeks | 6 months |
| Texture and fine lines | A retinoid, used consistently | 3 months | 12 months |
| Not getting new marks | Sunscreen, applied thickly enough | Immediately, invisibly | Years |
The last row is the awkward one to sell. Sunscreen produces no visible change at all — its entire benefit is the marks and the lines you do not get — which is why it is the least exciting product here and the one we would keep if we could only keep one.
Eight products are made in Bekasi and three in Tangerang by contract manufacturers, which is true of nearly every brand this size. It is only embarrassing if you have implied otherwise.
BPOM numbers are on every product page. A number does not prove a product works; it proves somebody outside the company has looked at the formula and the facility.
Two to three thousand units at a time, with the manufacturing date and expiry printed on the tube rather than only on the carton you throw away.
Which is a trade-off, not a virtue: several of these smell faintly of their ingredients. Fragrance is a common cause of irritation and makes a problem product harder to stop using.
“I had eight products and permanently sore cheeks. The builder gave me four, one of which I already owned, and told me to add nothing for a month. It was the first advice from a shop that reduced my order.”
“I asked which serum would clear my acne. The answer was that it probably would not and that I should see a dermatologist. I did, it was hormonal, and I came back for the sunscreen afterwards.”
“The percentages being on the site is why I bought. I have three bottles at home that say ‘with niacinamide’ and none of them will tell me how much, which now reads as an answer in itself.”
If you are not sure what your skin is, the four questions on the skin-type page will tell you — including, sometimes, that four questions cannot tell.
