Last year we sold out of the Chestnut hamper on 6 December. If you know you want one, the date on the card can be set for any day up to the 24th — ordering early does not mean it arrives early.

Three things we do not charge for

Gifting companies usually sell these back to you at the checkout. They are part of the price here because a hamper without them is not a gift, it is a delivery.

A handwritten card

Your message, written by a person, in ink. Up to forty words, and we will photograph it and send you the picture before it goes in the box if you ask.

The delivery date you choose

Any working day up to the 24th. Order in November and it still arrives on the day you picked — early ordering buys certainty, not an early parcel.

Swaps for what they cannot eat

Tell us about an allergy or a preference and we substitute like for like at no cost. Nut-free, alcohol-free and gluten-free versions exist for every hamper on this page.

Published in October and not moved. If a courier fails us after you have met the date, the hamper is refunded in full and we still deliver it.

Chilled items travel with an ice pack and are guaranteed for 36 hours in transit. Anything that arrives damaged is replaced without a photograph or a form.

Before you order

Yes, any working day up to the 24th, chosen in the order form. Ordering in November does not mean it turns up in November — the box is packed the morning of your chosen date, which is the whole point of packing to order.

Write it in the order notes and we substitute like for like at no extra cost, then send you the revised contents list to approve. Nut-free, alcohol-free and gluten-free versions of every hamper are made every day through December.

Yes for mainland delivery — the card, the packing and the courier are all in the number on the card. Islands and remote areas add $9 per box, and that is the only surcharge on this page. There is no gift-wrap upsell at the checkout.

Tell us and a replacement ships the next working day. We do not ask for a photograph, a form or the damaged box back — in December the recipient does not need a claims process, they need a hamper.

Up to five addresses in the form; above that use the corporate route and send a spreadsheet. Each address can have a different hamper and a different message, and every address is checked against the postcode database before labels are printed.

The website stays open, but from 13 December the delivery promise becomes "before the new year" rather than a chosen date. We would rather say that plainly than take an order we cannot land on time.
